The final Friday message of 2022.

Tomorrow - Saturday 31st December - Steve and Fizz are organising a 'Pro-Shop' Roll Up competition, open to anyone (Check the tee sheet) - entry is just £2.00 - we won't know until the morning how many holes the competition will be played over. Tomorrow will also be the final opportunity to purchase raffle tickets in the Pro-Shop Draw - some great prizes for just £2.00 per ticket.

Please be aware that on New Year's Day the clubhouse, locker rooms, professional shop and office will all be closed. Anyone who wishes to play golf on that day must bear this in mind and accept that they are playing at their own risk.

Captain's Charity - Congratulations to our Captains' - Anne Cox and Alan Burton who joined forces this year in terms of selecting a charity for the year, and thanks to their fund raising efforts, well supported by you, the members, raised over £10,000 for the 'Sarcoma U.K. Charity' The picture below shows the presentation of the cheque to the charity which took place recently - on behalf of Anne, Alan and the Charity, thank you all for your support and generosity throughout the year.

The Passing of a True Legend - Most will of heard the sad news that one of the greatest ever sportsmen has passed yesterday. I am of course speaking about PELE - the photograph below shows Pele leaving the Lymm Hotel when Brasil stayed there in 1966 - How many of the young autograph hunters are members of this club or known to members?
